The events were held this year the weekend before Halloween due to schedule conflicts, but there was still a very nice turnout from the block and even a few neighboring streets.
A dedicated crew of kids started things off with pumpkin carving in the common area on Friday evening (with some kids a little bigger than others):
By the next day the whole scary batch was ready for judging:
There were 3 vegetarian chilis and 4 meat entries - all of them so good that it was hard to choose winners:
But by the end of the evening the close races had been decided:
- Best Pumpkin: Maya
- Best Meat Chili: Sam
- Best Vegetarian Chili: Jamie
Thanks to everyone for participating and congratulations to the winners! We hear frequently that Autumn Walk is known as a special place to live, and it's because of all of you.
